Here lies the adventure’s of the U.S.S Starship Sexyboi, heheeh that was my joke. Well, I’m not exploring outer space so much as I am the internets, boldly going where I’ve gone before. Analyzing, assessing, disseminating.
Frankly I’m getting kinda bored of this great digital divide. What is there ? I mean facebook and instagram draws a crowd of chicks who want to be worshipped and adored to satisfy their vanity and their sense of self worth. And the kind of guys who flock to them are the ones who want to indulge in that feast of the eyes, a form of bondage and slavery. Who cares about memes and reblogged garbage content ? It doesn’t help anybody, it doesn’t effect anything. Just one loud party celebrating nothing at all. Meanwhile the deeply in trouble, troubled Zuckerberg continues trying to fan the flames of his own failures only for more of his deeply flawed blunders to emerge out of the woodworks.
I also have a particular disdain for google, twitter, and other platforms designed to work against me, to data mine my life opportunistically. Well I’m not paying for the party anymore ! I’d rather not patronize such platforms that are little more than a mall of America sign up to win a $50,000 vehicle you know anybody but you will win. Somebody visiting from out of town will invariably wind up winning it, or somebody whose far more liquid than you. This was the metaphor for social media…come in, talk to people, let people find you and want to know you…in the meantime be our product and make us rich beyond measure.
People just don’t realize their own inherent worth and potentiality to get in on the action, get their slice of the pie. Too afraid to dream, too afraid to dare. Is Zuckerberg smarter than everybody ? He certainly would have you and Congress think so. Hat’s out of the bag : he’s not, just lucky and blessed to be lucky.
Weather patterns erratic. I suspect the government has finally devised a proper fully operational weather control machine and is field testing it right here in Chicago. The controlled experiment designed to see the effects of weather on human psyche perhaps.
I’m trying to leave this city, a city that’s really the worst place in the country right now sad to say. I don’t even want to live in this country even. I’d much rather live in the mountains of Costa Rica or even in the Philippines. People think I’m nuts but I’m quite serious. I’ve always been an explorer, and adventurer, someone who wasn’t satisfied and complacent just being in one place forever.
Some people you think you know, you don’t really. Only when they’ve been your house guest for a bit is when they shed their exteriors, reveal themselves, and many are too stuck in their own routines, patterns that they’re enslaved by them. They cannot detach, cannot let go, bound by the very chains that they themselves have created. I’ve been pulling away from being gadget addicted, from spending time wasting away on the internet in the illusory pursuit of productivity. When people tell me they’re busy, I have to laugh. Busy updating social media, playing video games, or simply you’re not more important than these activities (even though you are). I can be the busiest bee in business if I deigned to. The man of infinite hobbies from chess to reading which in itself can consume anybody of a literary mindset. Writing, blogging, and technology as well as art. I could draw on a park bench for hours before (not anymore) or just spend time playing with stoops and throwing the ball.
